Redeeming an Invitation Code
What is an Invitation Code?
An invitation code allows you to activate a free trial membership without entering payment information. These codes are typically provided during promotional periods, partnerships, or special events.
Who Can Redeem
- Only tenant owners can redeem invitation codes
- You must be on the Free tier (codes cannot be applied to existing paid subscriptions)
- Each account can only redeem one invitation code
Step 1 – Navigate to Membership Page
Go to Dashboard → Membership & Billing.

Step 2 – Open the Redeem Dialog
In the right sidebar, find the "Invitation Code" card and click the "Redeem Invitation Code" button.
Note: This option only appears if you are on the Free tier and have owner permissions.
Step 3 – Enter Your Code
In the dialog that appears:
- Enter your 12-character code in the format
XXXX-XXXX-XXXX - Dashes are optional – the system will format automatically
- Click "Redeem" to submit

If successful, you'll see a confirmation banner showing your activated tier and expiration date. Your membership benefits are immediately available.
Common Errors
The code does not exist. Check for typos or contact the code provider.
This code has been redeemed by another user. Each code can only be used once.
The code has passed its expiration date.
Each account can only redeem one invitation code. You cannot stack multiple codes.
You already have a paid subscription. Invitation codes only work for Free tier accounts.
Your current tier is already equal to or higher than what the code provides.
After Redemption
Once your code is redeemed:
- Your account is upgraded to the tier specified by the code
- Benefits are valid until the expiration date shown
- After expiration, you'll return to the Free tier unless you subscribe
- You can upgrade to a paid subscription at any time to extend benefits
