How does the billing period work for Pro accounts?
Choose monthly billing at the $199 promo rate (regular $299) or lock in the yearly plan at $1,999 (regular $2,999). Monthly plans renew every month, yearly plans renew every 12 months.
What is the difference between Free and Lite?
The Free Tier is a sandbox for learning and validating your workflow; it does not support live subtitle delivery to audience devices. The Lite Tier supports 1 live show at a time with system-allocated regional deployment (non-configurable), includes a weekly AI usage allowance, and lets each deployment stay live for up to 7 days.
What is the Week Pass?
The Week Pass is a one-time Lite access window for a single show week. Each pass adds 7 days of Lite access; it is not a recurring subscription.
What happens when the pass ends?
Viewer and ASM links stop when the active pass ends. If you need another week, buy the next pass before you redeploy or extend the same show.
How do Active vs. Archived projects work?
Active projects are for editing and running shows. Archiving allows you to save old work to free up space. Paid plans include dedicated archive storage, whereas Free tier users must delete projects to free up slots.
What are AI usage credits?
Credits represent how much AI assistance you can use. Each action-such as script analysis or translation-uses a small amount of credits. Weekly refresh: Lite includes 600 credits/week and Pro includes 3,000 credits/week; Free has no weekly refresh beyond the one-time welcome credits.
How many credits does a script cost?
For a standard 12,000-word script, analysis typically costs 150-200 credits depending on line count, and translation costs ~150 credits per language. Actual usage varies based on structure and complexity. You can also manually input and translate content without using any credits.
Why is live delivery not available on Free?
Live subtitle delivery uses shared cloud systems designed for real performances. To keep the platform secure and reliable for everyone, live subtitle delivery is available on paid plans only.
Can I exceed my weekly allowance?
Yes. Paid top-ups carry over and are not affected by weekly refreshes. All AI jobs spend free credits first, then draw from your paid balance.
What does self-serve mean?
SurtitleLive is designed so teams can set up projects, prepare translations, run live shows, export backup files, and manage billing directly in the product. This keeps setup lightweight and lets smaller productions start without scheduling a managed onboarding process.
What is the difference between standard and enhanced AI translation?
Standard AI translation is available across plans that include AI translation. Enhanced AI translation uses a stronger translation model for more nuanced dialogue and tone; it may take longer and uses more credits, and is available on Pro and Pro+.
Do Pro or Pro+ include an SLA or onboarding?
Not currently. SurtitleLive is self-serve — there is no formal SLA or scheduled onboarding. Pro and Pro+ requests get priority response, and we use that feedback to improve the product and documentation.
