Using the Operator Cockpit

What is the Operator Cockpit?

The Cockpit (also called ASM Console) is the operator interface for controlling live surtitles during a performance. It allows the stage manager to advance cues and control what the audience sees.

Accessing the Cockpit

After deploying your show:

1. Go to Dashboard → Projects
2. Open your project
3. In the Surtitle deployment settings section, click on your active deployment
4. Copy the ASM Console URL
5. Open the URL in a browser and log in with your operator credentials

Cockpit Features

• Cue Navigation: Previous/Next buttons to advance surtitles
• Panic Button: Immediately hide all surtitles
• Current Cue Display: Large preview of the active line
• Cue List: Scrollable list of upcoming lines
• Language Toggle: Switch between available subtitle languages

Updating Subtitles During a Show

If you need to make changes to the script during a performance:

1. Open the Script Editor in a separate browser tab
2. Make your changes to the script
3. Go to Dashboard → Projects
4. Open your project
5. In the Surtitle deployment settings section, click "Update Live Subtitles"
6. The changes will be pushed to the live show without interrupting the performance

Single Operator Policy

For security and consistency, only one person can operate the Cockpit at a time:

• If another user logs into the same ASM Console, the previous operator will be logged out
• The Cockpit shows a warning if another operator takes over
• Coordinate with your team to ensure only one operator controls the show

Cockpit Keyboard Shortcuts

Note: These shortcuts only work when not typing in an input field.

Managing Live Shows

From the Deployment page:

• Extend Duration: Add more time (Pro only)
• Rotate ASM Credentials: Change password for security
• Delete Deployment: End the show and release resources
