How to Manage a Live Deployment
Manage a live deployment after setup, including viewer links, operator credentials, subtitle updates, duration changes, and shutdown.
🧭 Quick Guide
Where: Dashboard → Deployment
Needs: An existing deployment, opened by project ID
Main controls: Refresh the page status, update live subtitles, refresh shared links, change operator sign-in details, extend duration, and delete the deployment
Role note: Management actions are intended for managers and owners
What This Page Is For
If you already deployed a show and need to update links, push subtitle changes, extend the live window, or rotate operator credentials, this is the page you want. The Deployment dashboard is the management page for a live show after the initial deployment flow is finished.
How to Reach It
- Open the project that owns the live deployment from Dashboard → Projects
- Open the deployment management action for that project
- SurtitleLive opens the Deployment page with the project ID in the URL
Important: If the project does not currently have an active deployment, this page shows a no-deployment state and sends you back to the setup flow instead of pretending a live service exists.
What You Can See at a Glance
- Current deployment status, including ready, pending, or expired state
- Project name and deployment reference number
- Visible-until time and remaining duration
- Membership-based extension hint or limit
- Viewer and operator short links with QR codes
Main Actions on the Page
Refresh and Verify
Use Refresh Snapshot when you want the latest live-status check or shared-link state.
Update Live Subtitles
Send the latest subtitle package to the live show after editing the script. This uses a confirmation step before the update is sent.
Refresh Short Links
Refresh the current viewer and operator shared-link state directly from the service cards.
Rotate Operator Credentials
Change the operator username or password from the danger-zone area when you need a secure handoff.
Duration and Shutdown Controls
- Extend Duration is available only when the current deployment and your plan allow it
- Delete Deployment ends the live service and should be treated as irreversible for that show instance
- The page separates these operations from the main link-sharing section so show-critical controls stay visible
